Movired 2000 S.L. is a company with headquarters in Madrid and offices in Granada. It emerged in the year 2000 as a spin-off from Piedrafita and as a result of the increased importance of software in vehicle systems.
The advent of its relationship with Nokia Spain in 2004 and 2005 shifted part of Movired’s IT activity towards the aftersales sector of electronic devices.
In 2010, Movired implemented its quality management system certified in line with ISO 9001:2008.
IT activities in the aftersales sector of electronic devices continued until 2013, accounting for up to 90% of Movired’s entire business.
The decline of Nokia Spain between 2013 and 2014 triggered a divergence of IT activities in the aftersales sector of electronic devices, with its percentage (having dropped from 90% to 30%) reaching almost a par with business intelligence activities in the retail industry (40%) and software development for the manufacturing and defence industries (30%).
At the beginning of 2016, Movired and Telefónica Seguros entered into a contractual relationship and Movired once again increased its activity in the aftersales sector of electronic devices (rising from 30% to 50%).
At the end of 2017, Movired spotted the opportunity to boost its activities in all sectors by pairing the concept of nearshore outsourcing with business intelligence.
In 2018, Movired successfully updated its ISO 9001:2008 quality certificate to ISO 9001:2015 and also launched its new commercial strategy: “a BI company with vast experience in the aftersales sector of electronic devices and which offers nearshore outsourcing services”, thus increasing its reach to the whole of Europe.
